Diwali, is the festival of lights. It is the time when millions of Hindus, Sikhs and Jains across the world celebrate with beautiful rituals such as festive lights, fireworks, sweet delicacies and family gatherings. After 14 years of exile, Shri Rama, his wife, Goddess Sita, and brother Lakshmana return to their home in Ayodhya on Diwali, also known as Deepavali. It is believed that after Shri Rama destroyed the demon king Ravana, the entire village lighted up the kingdom with strings of diyas to welcome him.
