About Me
Padmavathi has completed her U.G. in B.Sc. (Mathematics) at Madras University, Chennai and B. ED in Special Education specialized in Intellectual Disability (ID) from TNOU, Chennai. She is currently pursuing M. Sc. Psychology & Counselling and Psychotherapy at TNOU, Chennai. Her association with 1SpecialPlace as a Special Teacher started in Feb 2023. She is RCI Certified Specialist for Special Education since 2013. Presently she is working in a CBSE School at Chennai as Special Educator teaching children of special needs with a greater emphasis on the primary group. Prior to that she has worked in The Sankalp Open Schoolin Chennai for nearly 10 years as Special Educator.
She can assess the child's current level of functioning in studies and do corrective work to improve reading, writing, and understanding. Also can work with the overall performance of fine motor, gross motor, behavioral, and social skills.
She also prepares children for NIOS.
Participated in various workshops and webinars conducted by NIPMED, Chennai on various subjects related to special education and specific learning difficulties.
She had successfully participated in the ABA Train the Trainer workshop organized by the Rotary Foundation and got Certificate.
