Acc to State Health Minister K Sudhakar, Karnataka has reached a key milestone by issuing 5.86 lakh Unique Disability Identification (UDID) cards.

The NABH-WSO joint Stroke centre certification programme was introduced at the event by Dr. Lorho Pfoze, a Manipur-based MP and member of the Standing Committee of Parliament on Health and Family Welfare.
Through a certification programme that was developed in collaboration with the World Stroke Organization, the National Accreditation Board of Hospitals and Healthcare (NABH) has started work to establish standards for stroke centre certification (WSO).
Pfoze suggested that FICCI prepare a thorough report on the lessons learned from this summit and make a representation to the government with the recommendations. He pledged to bring up the issue with the government regarding initiatives to raise awareness of the disease.
